Selling Parts Motor 1996 Johnson 2 stroke 70 HP
Issue is #1 Cylinder 93 Compression. Others are 125. Compression shot.

New impeller installed end of season.
New Relay lifters x 2 installed beginning of this summer
Throttle cables / Shift Cables 2 summers old.

Has separate oil tank for VRO2, but never used. Mechanic took off and plugged oil intake. Manually added oil to gas 50:1 ratio.


Selling as completed motor. New Price $650.00. Tachs, control box, cables and prop included.

Sold my 1982 Johnson that I had for 37 years for $400.00 that did not run similar issue and this 1996 motor is in way better shape. So they do sell. Just have to be patient.

Thanks Scott, Too Heavy unfortunately. Looking at New Yammy 70 for now. As it has the highest HP vs weight and currently best price.

F70 is a great motor, smooth 4 cylinder with a bigger gear case.
my buddy bought one new in 2011 and other than oil changes
it's needed nothing.
