here is a video of our trip to sekiu washington for salmon and hali's

we didn't catch any salmon we could keep so we went to the canadian side for hali's and salmon and only caught this big skate east of port renfrew.

dragonballs......in case you are looking for hali's you may want to have a look at the " Electronic licence conditions" in various areas they state; "no person who is not a Canadian resident may fish for or retain halibut under this license in areas 121, 23, 123"

Not pointing fingers; just making sure you were aware as I don't know where you were fishing exactly.

Pippen, thanks for the advice but I am aware of the candadian regs and we were fishing in area 20-3 and 20-4. If we would have had land license's we would have gone to neah bay and fished swiftsure. thanks for the heads up you can never be sure that everyone understands all of the regs.

No sweat dragon....I didn't want to come across like I was accusing you of anything; just thought I would bring it up. I didn't realize it until I was looking through the regs on line about a month ago. I guess being CDN I just look over some of the "bold red print" in the regs pertaining to non-residents.;)

Nice skate. Caught one last summer a little bit smaller off Renfrew - also on the fin. I thought it was a 30lb hali until it broke the surface. Most of us don't care if you fish Canadian waters occasionally(following the regs of course) with your family or buddies. We get real sensitive about the "ghost charters". On the up side, I see your running Scotties and your video work isn't bad.

vicman2, thanks for the reply. we really like fishing out of esperanza we stay in Tahsis and fish around nootka you can see some more vids on youtube search 425vance we are fishing in nootka this year aug 9-16 and aug 20-24
