Anyone know when secret beach starts taking bookings. Website says phone is unattended in off season, and the booking form is offline. No reply from emails.

Thanks in advance

Not the answer your looking for but we booked relatively late in the season last year and didn’t have any trouble, I believe they still had first come first serve sites open when we were there (August long weekend) which I was a bit suprised by. Real nice ramp and docks.

No need to worry they always have sites not many like to rough it that much dock is up to date and awesome
And yes it’s a wonderful place
Yep, last time I was there no water or power on site, and town is a long drive away. There are toilets though.

Figured I would resurrect this thread rather than start a new one. Does anyone have an idea what the road in to this place is like? Never been there. I understand it is a gravel road and some recent news announcement about upgrades in progress. Not worried about the drive in with just a truck and some kayaks, more so if I decided to tow the boat trailer in.

Towed my Striper in there a few weeks ago. They are working on the road and it should be much improved next year. For now though it’s rough - depending on when the grader has worked it - but I had no problems. Just have to take it slow. It’s only 14 kms, so not long. I’ll be pulling my boat in and out of there again in a couple of weeks.

Yeah I towed a 23’ aluminum in last year. It was fine then, just be prepared for some washboard and dust - give yourself some extra time to go slow when needed. The marina and launch is excellent.

Thanks both, sounds similar to the tow in to China Creek before that road got done. Any significant hills, or just typical FSR washboard?
