Seasport explorer help

Looking for a 24ft Seasport explorer. Can anyone share opinions on types of power. Outboard preferred but they seem limited on the used market and seem to be pricy. Seems like most come with 5.7 Volvo with duoprop. Anything to watch out for with these boats? Called about the one at Thunderbird but it has plastic tanks that are permeated and they give off fumes. Is this common with Seasports? Open to hearing all info on these boats. Also if anyone has a lead on one please pass it on.

who told you the tanks where permeated that doesn’t sound right. I have plastic tanks and they are just fine. Most of the older 24 seasports come with the the 5.7 or a diesel. Most are good Pod candidates

The owner told me. It was flagged on a pre purchase survey and the potential buyers walked because of it. They did pressure test the tanks and they dont leak but they do give off a gas smell. Owner had the boat listed last week for 60k but refused to allow a sea trial. Now listed for 79k at Thunderbird.
