An interesting article in the National post. It would be nice to see us get past the political correctness and find a way to control the impact of these animals on our fish stocks! Anyone got ideas on how we could accomplish that?

The latest from the ridiculous electric fence now in place on the Puntledge.....counted 14 seals in under an hour swimming right past, through or around it.....looks like another year of stupidity by DFO....

Cull the seals is the only answer. But what will it take for it to start? Last year a threat from the volunteers to quit seemed to get some action (electric fence and fixing the lights on the bridge) maybe we need a new threat this spring. It makes me sad to see all these salmon fry get eaten before they even have a chance out in the chuck. If only one in a hundred fry return then we need every one of them to get out there in one piece. DFO needs to stop wasting time and get on with the job. The fish are heading out now.
