Scotty or Cabelas

Looking to buy a black box and noticed Cabelas has one for a lot cheaper than scotty.Anybody use the cabelas black box? or should I just put the extra money out and get the scotty?

Did that have gone back to cable. braid is nice, but for me my catching did suffer. Bigger fish on cable at least in my boat Cheers

Yeah if you look on the box it should say scotty somewhere. Cabelas just pays scotty big bucks to put there name on it

what oh great I just made the decision to finally try braid!


I dont know about black boxs but yes I noticed and asked why alot of there clips said scotty on them but were in cabelas packaging. guy said he had no idea never noticed.

Id keep my eye out or put up a add lots of blackboxs came up on used vic the last couple years after braid got so popular. Think I even saw a free one on here along time ago.

The Black Box offered by Cabelas is made in China and is the same as the pro troll black box.
