Does anyone have a Scotty lake troller rigger for sale in the Victoria area?
My son just bought his first boat and is looking to get started fishing.

Hey Scott seen lots on fb but does he need just the lake troller or can he get into some used cannon manuals seen lots of those around lately for cheap

His boat is a 12' Lund.
A little small for a standard rigger, I'll check

Hi Scott. I run a 14 foot Lund and still use manuals. I know I’m operating like a caveman. ;-) lol
I use the Depthmaster 1050 riggers with the Scotty 1021 portable clamp mounts and 10 pound balls. Been using this setup for 15 years on that boat and works great, never once an issue. Maybe your son’s 12 foot Lund can handle that.

I ran a couple of those old school Scotty blue downriggers on my 12’ aluminum. I fabricated some mounting brackets because I was too cheap to buy something premade. Because of the short downrigger arms I found it was nice and stable reaching for the clips. The Lake Troll is limiting on ball weight and the countdown with revolutions works but becomes tedious when you get distracted and lose count.
