Got a steal of a deal on a couple of older 2 belt down riggers. Both have the extendable boom. Both booms were bent and the PO had used wire, so both the pulleys and the line guides were badly grooved and require replacement for use with braid. Now about 8 years ago I replaced my 30 inch booms and attachments on my depthpower riggers with the extendable ones, so I have two complete spares. Bought a dressed base for the depthpower model and after a bit of modification to the base of the two belt (the area the spool and brake sit on) I was able to use a newer depthpower base and my 30 inch 1 1/4"boom instead of the 3/4" boom that came stock. Should be able to handle a 15lb weight now. My only concern is the motor power. We will see how it works out before modifying the other one.
