Saltwater fishing around Saanich

What's the best place to fish saltwater around the Saanich Peninsula? I'm looking for small salmon and rockfish. Thanks!

Depends on where on the peninsula he goes. North or south. He could find it easier to drive north to Tulista or south to Cattle Point.

I've seen guys casting from the rocks at 10-Mile Pt. -- there's a steep wall down to 100', and strong currents.

I've also picked up a lot of lures from the break of slope! Enough to pay for my first boat trailer.

Mckenzie bight and the Mckenzie point dive site are both good access to rockfish from shore.
Islandview Beach and Cordova spit have salmon later in summer.
