salmon rod to put with islander reel

Any suggestions on a high end rod I could put with my Islander reel. Price doesn't matter.

If you can find one, I think a new or like new Sage 4110 4 Power 11.0. ft. (comes with a soft bag and hard case) makes a nice rigger rod. I don't think they make them anymore so hard to find. Looking at one of mine right now.

After that you may be into the custom made rods.

Yep, Sage 4110's are still made...locally in the Lower Mainland as it turns out!

Most respectable tackle shops in Greater Vancouver have them or are able to get them in short order.

Pacific Angler had some in stock when I was last there as did Nikka. Berry's Bait also had a couple of originals last fall but the cork was quite shelf worn.

That rod is made for a level wind .... it has a trigger

I think you may be correct as that is a CT model. Both My Sage 4100 and 4110 are SA models and both 4 power and rated for line up to 30/lb mono unlike the 25lb mono max rating on that CT model.

Like everything else, do your research and have a look at it before you agree to purchase.
