Salmon Head Recovery Program Prize Draw

I won! Received a pretty sweet Gibbs-Delta Tackle prize pack in the mail today. Included one of their new Highliner UV/Red Stripe flashers, a bunch of pre-tied hoochies, Gibbs Minnow jig, kingfisher green/glo/UV scale #3 spoon, couple packs of hoochies and a couple "Salmon Slayer" Double hoochies (a clear octopus hoochie over a glow bead, blue/glo plankton hoochie and UV mylar insert - looks interesting).

Made my day. Not bad for turning in a few heads. Any one else win anything this year?

I was hoping my hatchery fish I landed in Rivers would have some good luck, but no goodies for me. Regardless, pretty awesome to catch a 41 LB hatchery fish!

no prizes for me but did get info back on a 34 pound langara fish that was from robertson creek hatchery. pretty cool to get a nice local fish way up there.

That's pretty awesome Robertson creek fish was caught up there... I wonder how much more weight it would have packed on before getting to Alberni? Big fish....



Last time I got a hatchery fish I took the head in to island outfitters to send it in and the lady told me to use it for crab bait.... Sweet customer service lol.

Weird I've dropped heads at island outfitters multiple times. They keep them in a freezer outside the store. You could use it for crab bait then turn it in if you want to get the most out of your fish.

if i remember correctly i think it was early july. yeah another 6 weeks or so of feeding it prob would have topped 40 pounds. my guest may have snatched up the port alberni derby winner 550 miles too soon.
