Yup the salmon net pen fish farms have polluted, spread disease and harmed marine life all over the world. In Scandinavia, UK, Argentina, Australia, WA state, Canadian Maritimes and of course BC. So maddening that govts still allow this harmful industry to continue to operate in an unsustainable and environmentally damaging way. 
The proof that this industry like many others need to change to reduce it’s negative impact is abundant. But the industry for the sake of corporate profits still lingers. Lots of disinformation and corruption have allowed this.
The time for this industry to transition to contained systems where their harmful impacts can be better managed is now!! Political pressure needs to continue to be applied to see these change through!!
