Anyone following the results page for the 2009 Salmon Classic?

Looks like Trev ( no Bananas ) has been bumped to 3rd overall along with a spot in 14 th. 25G's buddy. Hang in there!

Who is Dave Cowell? The guy is slaying. He has first and second places for $150G's as well as holding a spot at # 15.

The rest of the day should be interesting.

Anyone with more scoop? When where what?

Wow, that is crazy.wish i knew where they were picking up those huge fish. Ive been trying the past week and havent hit anything over 10 pounds. Except an 18 pound wild coho yesterday! Any hints where late season springs might be hiding?

Only 15 fish weighed in out of 75 teams...
pretty slow.

It was $5000-6000 per boat.....

I think there's only 50 or so entrants, maybe 55. They cut it off due to logistical problems, I believe insufficient accommodations (entry comes with accommodations).

Will be interesting to see final tally of fish weighed in. I know a few people in it, big $ signs in their eyes but can only be 1 winner (and pretty good 2nd and 3rd prize)....with 50 or so disappointed teams!

$1500 investment per team member, with 1 in 50 chance of 15x payout. Whether a good investment or not depends on how much you figure you're better than others, to tip the odds in your favour.

Hopefully some good swag for the non-winners, and better be some quality steaks at the banquet!

Congrats to big Dave Of en-joy. Met Big Dave this summer out at SS. Real nice guy for a top rod fishermen. Nice to see a local pick up the lions share of the dough.Wish I could have fished in the derby but the entrance fee was out of reach. Again outstanding Dave!!! Cheers FC
