rubber snubbers

i have a fiberglass boat scotty electric riggers. black box . "WHAT YA THINK ABOUT RUBBER SNUBBERS"???my boat does catch fish. just in general , what ya think

I like the snubbers. I use them for a few reasons.

1) they absorb shock on your line, so you have less balls break off and whatnot.
2) if you snag bottom, they'll break off before your mainline does.
3) when i get a fish on, i swing my downriggers in to get them out of the way, and i like to grab the snubber to do that; doesn't cut my hand or anything.
