Rod Building / Components

I want to try building my own rod and am wondering if anyone can give me some help as to the best way to get started. I live in Victoria. Are there any classes or instruction available locally?

Is a rod kit the best way to start? And does anyone know where you can get a kit or all of the required components?

Send an email to Jack at caribootroutfitters@gmail.com and ask him what he has available in kits. He has been selling nice rod building kits at reasonable prices. It is good to start off with a reasonable priced kit so that you can learn from your errors.
