Roche Harbor Derby Rundown!

Judging from the size of the fish in the San Juans the salmon chow must be pretty good up there!

I have never been in a 100 boat "Shotgun start" before and we even shot a little video of the shotgun start!

The entire weekend in words and pics are in the Roche Rundown! and it was a great event!!!

Would love to do a limited entry shotgun start hali derby from Bamfield harbour this spring!!!

Thanks for that post, makes me think there are probably some nicer fish to be had here if a guy would travel and put in more than 90 mins...

Fished the derby ,it was very well run and a great time. The fishing was also good with a great average size unreal avg size actually.The 28 that won it was a beauty.

Man, it dont surprise me to See Capn Kirk Hawleys name on the board. That guy is a fish Magnet!!

Ya Captain Hawley is the derb king for sure .It was his only fish all weekend but it was the rite one. We were staying with his crew what a blast and way to many empty bottles of crown. Just when you think you have it figured, he showed me a few things for sure,that crew live, eat and breath fishin.Oh ya drink fishin as well.

Uncle Pete was in fine form as usual getting up and singing in front of everybody! Maybe next year we'll get you down there with con and i .It would be a good reunion for you for sure.lol
