1. A group of us are planning to lodge and fish in the Rivers Inlet area the last week of July / first week of Aug. 2010.
I have read both good and bad reports about the fishing there and my understanding is that it is picking back up again to what it used to be. We are looking for the larger Chinooks (Tyee).
Can any of you please give me some feed-back. Thanks in advance.
2. Legacy Lodge: Need feed-back for making a decision, please.

those are great dates for up there.Don't know anything about the lodge. Good Hope Cannery lodge is very highly recomended.

Was at Legacy Lodge a few years ago. Good people, accomodations and boats. GREAT food.

Fishing was slow as you mentioned. I do not know if the Chinook fishing has improved.

Those dates would work just fine. I second Good Hope Cannery. They always seem to put people on the fish.

I see Legacy Lodge is for sale....check out BC lodges for sale on a google search!

MY fishing partner and I are looking at running across from Hardy to Rivers Inlet in the first week of August. Anybody know if there is any safe anchorage and any decent on the beach camping spots. Also maybe is there moorage and fuel in Rivers Inlet. Any help for info would be greatly appriciated. Cheers Fc

I believe Legacy has been for sale for over 3 years-I have never been there but hear no bad things said about the outfit- I know they run good boats/gear and bait.Just my two bits:)

If you have the fuel capacity and Rivers Inlet is a bust, you might be able to run out to Hakia Pass and intercept the kings on their way in if they are not there yet. I have been fishing out of Joe's Salmon Lodge near Hakia Pass before when the Rivers Inlet guys would come there as the fish were not there in RI yet.
