Remember when.......

Remember when you could keep two halibut a day?

The power went out here this afternoon so I was cruising my photo collection looking back at all the good times.

Here are a few shots from years gone by. Good times for sure with my son and friends. We used to do lot's of day trips back then. Usually launching out of Port and head towards Bamtown. Sometimes we would do the Tuff City trip all in one day.

A really fun trip to Tofino with my son when he was younger.

Not many photos for me - When I was little I was a puker and Dad didn't always like having me out! Great memories though of crabbing at Sidney Spit, where it's generally calmer than most areas. Used to get loads of crab, not so much anymore haha. Anyways great photos there Sculpin! Wish I had been a fisherman back when those old rules applied!

Yep, those were the "good 'ol days. Thanks for the pics sculpin. Most my pics from back then were on a cheapo disposeable camera. Only in recent years have I switched to digital.

Wasn't really all that long ago, although with all that has transpired since, there are times it certainly seems like but a distant memory...
