Registration of Quads

Anybody register their quads yet? I understand the ICBC agents have to sight them-bit of a pain to load them up. Guess then they'll be after PST/GST just like a boat-going back- God knows how long. I don't even know where my bills of sale are I've had them so long. If anybody has done it-let us know how it goes as they are a little short on the" how to" on their web site

I have them for my sleds, at least I got them after the 450.00 fine. No PST, they happy to give you a steel plate. Keep your papers on you as well. No papers means you can't prove the registration and ...450.00

You've lost me here-what was the 450dollar fine you are referring too?

I think he's referring to the fine for not being registered?

I was camping up in Campbell River last year, and I heard from other bikers and quaders, that the COs were up there fine(ing) people who werenot insured or registered. I'm not sure what the fine amount was though. I don't remember it being 450, but maybe he got a couple fines (multiple bikes/quads?)

They couldn't be registered until 17th (quad) of nov and it is only voluntary until the 15th of Jun 2015 when it's mandatory.

failure to produce registration and papers to prove. Kinda like a motor vehicle. Sleds are currently required to carry a metal plate, but the industry is fighting this and looking for a sticker.

We where not very nice at the trail head, and may have incurred a higher fine as I had a melt down in the lot.

they where at the coq last year handing out tickets for sleds, maybe they where little premature. Maybe when I was screaming and jumping around yelling where is the public awareness and signs and you f'ers should be warning everyone didn't help my cause, lol

I certainly understand the "melt down" thing when it comes to the gov't bureaucrats. I was told that for the new quad plate they had to sight the quad-not like the ICBC offices are anywhere easy to park a trailer with 2 quads LOL. I think sleds have been registered for some time-think it's quite different for quads.

how about this lil cash grab,,, pay tax on the orv when you register it...

Anyone have an answer to the original question in this thread...

-Anyone registered yet?
-Are they collecting taxes?

Thanks
Tips

No, don't own a quad, I may just before 15 June next summer? May keep the tax amount in my account until its law to give it to BC Gov.
