I’ve bought refurbished stuff from Apple. Still too expensive but I love their pro photo zoom.

I recently bought a 3rd generation iPhone SE for just over $200. Turns out the phone is only 18 months old. Works great, battery capacity is 93%. Last year I bought one for my wife and it was over 2 1/2 years old. So, you may not know the age of the phone you order until you get it. Both have worked well and are much cheaper than buying a new one. Incidentally, we’ve been buying used phones for 10/15 years. We use month to month phone plans. Currently we are using Public mobility (Telus) - plans start at $20 per month.

I received a junk phone from Amazon that showed refurbished. Ebay sent me a note 9 said to be new and it was a Chinese knockoff and the dimensions were not even the same. Best luck for me

I have been using refurbished phones for years. I used to get them from best buy online or the apple store
Never had a problem with them
We bought I think 4 refurbished iphones during the pandemic when staff were working from home .
Zero data plans because they had work laptops and we just routed their desk phones to the refurbished cells we bought for them
No problems with the phones and our IT person set them up somehow so they couldn't load up non work programs , surf the net, download music ,games etc.
We had to have lots of controls put on the laptops as well . We did see a lot of printer supplies and paper used at a much higher than normal rate at one point but soon got that under control
As I write this I just realized why I am glad we sold to a national firm and I am retired now 2 years and 4 months.

I have bought a couple of used phones online from Orchard in Toronto that I have been very happy with they will also buy your old phone.

We bought one for the granddaughter 2 Christmas ago and she is a young teenager so no need to tell the amount of time she is on it. But it hasn’t given her any issues at all. It was well worth the price we paid. I believe we paid in the 300 range for it. It was an Apple, not sure what model but it was an up to date model at the time. We bought it at Best Buy.
