Ratio change on inboard/outboard

I have a twin i/o 4.3l volvo penta w cobra sx legs at 1.6 gear ratio, any input on if I put 1.51 ratio legs on? I would imagine I could prop down to compensate if I found it a bit of a dog...wondering if anyone had experience or knowledge to share
