Rally to Save the Herring in the Strait of Georgia

Qualicum Beach Waterfront
This is not a block the highway or railway type of protest. This is a family friendly event where people can show their support and learn more about DFO’s mismanagement of the Herring stocks in the strait. There will be some information displays and kids activities.
This is not a protest against fisherman. It is thought that if the herring fishery is stopped or severely reduced, there will be more fishing opportunities for Salmon and other fish that feed on herring.
