Gone today from a "massive heart attack."

Many memories for me from way back when tied to him and American Bandstand.

He introduced a lot of people to black artists and black music back when they weren't played on mainstream radio much. For that alone we all owe him some good vibes.

Heckuva career and a heckuva businessman too.

Not a bad model for Ryan Seacrest to emulate I suspect.

a little before my time , i do remember Loverboy making there debut on there lol
watching all dance to " the Kid is hot Tonite " with full out bell bottoms lol...

Not quite sure about Seacrest but Dick Clark certainly had an effect on my life. R.I.P. eman

Watched that show for years, camera-guys were brutal the way they'd stick the camera up the girls skirts when they were dancing; course that's not why I watched it...

New Years Eve will be somehow less now knowing he's gone.
