Quatsino sound

Hi all,

I'm just wondering if there are any fish to be caught inside quatsino sound, near Drake island? I am looking to catch some ling and halis. Some direction would be appreciated!

Pretty tough fishing inside the sound for bottom fish, can be some great salmon fishing though.

You might find some rockfish but you will need to head out to at least the Mahatta area for some hali and Lings

Why is it tough inside for bottom fish? Is there that much fishing pressure? Or is it some sort of habitat characteristic?
