Any word on fishing Quamichan Lake?

ITS OUR PASSION TO FISH AND GET OUT OF DOORS...PLEASE...FISH LEGAL OR GET OFF THE RIVER!

I found Quamichan lake is best in the spring time, got some big ones outta there last year

I fished it once in late spring yrs ago and there was some kind of algae bloom going on and there numerous dead stickleback floating on the surface everywhere.Never caught a damm thing that day.

Never had much luck this time of year in Quamichan or Somenos. If I were you I would go to Fuller Lake in Chemainus.

Fished Quamichan yesterday til it got dark. Caught 3 odd looking trout in 1.5hrs. Cutt-bows? Never seen one. Anyone have a pic?

Retired. Fish most days. For anything. Mostly Cowichan River lately.

Yeah theres cut-bows in the there, and some hogs too, My neighbour got a monster last yeat, 5-6 lbs

Fished Quamichan this AM. Nada. And the lakes a "funny" color. Almost 0 visibility. Not the usual Algae.

Quamichan has been slow, But the hogs are coming in a month or so,
Thats if there is any left after the hot summer we had

Still a bit early for Quamichan, March and into April is usually the best time for me.
Dave, the algae bloom doesn't usually develop until the water warms up in the summer. Its never really clear like Fuller nor some of the other lakes.
