Pt. Roberts

Hello all.. Over the past year or so ive descovered via. everydobdy on this forum that theres fising at / around Pt. Roberts. i have acabin over there and have never heard of any fishing grounds, so im quite excited to hear this! Could somebody that has fished there / knows of someone fishing there be able to tell me what kind of fish are around?? And there was some talk of halibut being around on anotehr thread..and wrod on that?? i though they were prettty no-existant on the inside waters. Thank-you

Hi nedarb, Thats my old stompping grounds,there are a few places to fish.on a flood tide fish the state park side,west side of light house.On a ebb, fish in front of the marina60-120ft.Watch the point it shallows up quick.As for halis yes they are there,my brother has picked some up in the area,all incedental catches, also check out the can,South of the big bluff.

so halibut do exist?! thats interesting do you know how deep they are lurking?

Not sure.I have never fished for halis,thats what these guys do on this site give good advice.it does get deep out there over 300 ft.I got some of those 12 inch squid to try though.Do you know if they prefer valleys or flat areas?

i have no idea, i have never fished them either <img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle> i would imagine flat places as they like swiftsure ??? any halibut fishers want to help us out?!
