Prawning off French Creek/Parksville

Buddy and I would like to try for some prawns off FC/PV but don/t know where to set up. Would appreciate a couple of general locations (doesn't need to be your honey hole).

It's not the best bottom for prawns. So you won't find many traps off French Creek. But if you go out pretty far, it starts to drop off, and I've seen traps out there.

Maybe head down around Gerald/Ballenas area?......

hasnt been good out in front of eaglecrest last couple of years although it used to be.. better off trying around lasquiti or denman/ hornby ect ..we tried out the usual spot 350' off eaglecrest on the weekend and it was terrible( 24 hr set too)-- unless they are deeper/shallower??
