Portable Fridge/Freezer Engel vs Vevor vs Camco

Got a great Nova Cool 60L fridge/freezer from a member and it kept all our bait frozen for Rivers Inlet, it also had a smaller fridge area which does not freeze, or it can be full fridge.

Problem is it is to big to fit anywhere except the cuddy and the stern deck. I’d prefer a smaller one that will fit under the galley table even when the bed is set up or the foot of First mates seat.

Looking at smaller fridges and would love to give an Engel a try but the smaller ones don’t have the two zones and they are dam expensive. Love the the idea of a low power draw but double the price for the Engel.

The Camco fridge seems to be the same as all Chinese direct to consumer brands like Vevor and those sold through Amazon. Anyone have good or bad experiences with either brands?

@Sir Reel would know better, but some of the commander owners did freezer drawers under the bench seat. He might have some info on that route.

Dometic makes a cooler style 12-volt fridge/feeezer combo. I haven’t used one, but spoke to a guy who had one on his boat and he had all good things to say.

I have an Engel and it works very well. Low power draw and can operate on AC or DC. We always freeze everything plugged in at home before taking on the boat. It also allows us to refreeze ice for our fish coolers.

i've got a Dometic CK 40D Hybrid Fridge-Freezer Coolbox on order for the boat. Its a hybrid so very energy efficient.
has both compressor and thermoelectric cooling loops.
i looked at fridge/freezers extensively a while back. dometics are the most efficient. engel burns more power using the swing motor but is made of metal so little more rugged. vevors were rejected since they are not lithium compatible (their battery mgmt feature is useless for lithium).
