So far looks like a great derby coming up, we are looking forward to sponsoring the kids zone this year. The flyers and posters are going around town now.

I would be interested to know total number of fish weighed in over the three days and how that number compares to previous years. Fished off Lone Tree last Wednesday (27th) and made the most of a 'bite' that just went on and on……pretty well every boat in sight enjoyed action with lots of double headers. We were finished and back at China Creek by 8.0 a.m. with two females well over 20 and two smaller bucks that came in under the then 77cm limit, all four on anchovies between 40 and 49 feet. At that time, at least, it certainly seemed there were many, many fish present and in a taking mood. Now that the derby is history it will be interesting to see how the rest of the season unfolds.
