The other day with all the small bait around off mid ECVI I used this rig in the picture .
Was targetting Coho and whatever...
Gets the lure down I'm guessing 30ft max......
Worked pretty good. Both Coho and Chinook.....leader length was 48" behind planer..
Big fish will trip the planer.......but I notice I may be losing legal Coho because the trip-adjuster is set too strong.
if you set it too light it will trip itself.....if you set it too strong then the fish doesn't trip it:- and when you trip it yourself to wind fish and rig in then the hook pulls out or they get off at that moment of slack when it trips.....
Anybodyknow what the correct poundage setting would be for these things?
Like if you pull on it with a digital scale, what poundage should it release at for best results?
