Planar 2D 12V Portable Diesel Air Heater.

Fully self contained unit. Purchased last year and used twice on previous boat. Includes 10' of distribution tubing and an extra fuel cap (one vented, one non-vented).

Would work great for camping or hunting as well. Could also be disassembled and components used for a permanent installation.

Hmm...this has the one single heat duct, correct? The one from my IO config has 2 and I am hoping to keep the ducting and simply replace the unit itself. Id confirm but the boat is still buried in a shop across the pond for a few more weeks...lemme do some reading. Cheers...how easy is it to remove the diesel fuel tank to refill?

Looks like a nice little unit.
Does it come with an exhaust hose?
Is the exhaust really hot?
Would it blow hard enough to push the warm air through a boats heat ducts to defrost windows?
I converted my boat from inboard to outboard. The boat has a bus heater that used to use the inboards coolant to heat and defrost. Im wondering if I could hook this unit into the old system and hence the questions.

Yes, a single heat duct, but you can add a Y - and many other fittings - to help with distribution.


Refilling the tank is simply a matter of removing the fuel cap on the exterior. The stock fuel cap is vented, and I purchased a second cap and sealed it to eliminate any possibility of fuel spillage while in transport.

The exhaust hose as installed vents out of the rear of the case. In the picture of the inside of the case, the exhaust is on the bottom the heater and exits out of the right side of the case. Stand along exhaust hose is available if there is a need or desire for a different set up.

The exhaust is pretty hot. I never put my hand against it, but a wouldn't put it up against a gel coat bulkhead.

The blower moves 20 - 44 cubic meters (~200 - 440 cubic feet) per minute, so shoudn't have any probably blowing through heat ducts and defrosting windows.
