Saw this composite-style prop design being built out of Australia and thought it might be a really cool idea. Does anybody have one of these or even heard of anyone getting one?

Nice website but when get down to final selection it doesn't play nice with chrome on iOS phones.

I installed them years ago when worked in a shop.

They might be different now but they were not strong enough and would brake blades regularly.

Great spare as you could take them apart and store them fairly easy plus they didn’t weigh much.

they break easily so avoid.
its pretty scammy corp using the cheap razor expensive refill model with props.

From 2006 to 2016 I had a Volvo duoprop composite leg with composite props with replaceable blades. The blades were susceptible to damage, but so were the single aluminum props I ran before 2006. I used to rebuild 2 or 3 aluminum props a summer after hitting submerged chunks. Way easier to replace blades and carry spares - a full set of 6 blades ran about $150, around the price of an aluminum prop rebuild.

Volvo had troubles with the composite leg [metal shafts housed in composite could cause issues]] and had a recall program with a big incentive to switch to metal housing leg. I never had a problem but decided to upgrade in 2016 and bought stainless props at the same time. I carry the oem aluminum props as spares but have never used them.

Did you do prop slip calcs on the composite and the SS? I would think the comp would flex slightly more than stainless, so a bit more slip. Did you notice that?

I wouldn't know how to calculate prop slip. Did not notice a difference in performance except in crude terms - the stainless is almost indestructible.
