Pinks

I know most of you have a disdain for pinks, but I was wondering if they have shown up in the Strait of Georgia yet?

What are your favorite lures?

I personally don't mind them.... they're good on the BBQ or in the smoker.

They are great fun for anyone who doesn't want to sit for hours waiting for a spring to bite...and you can get coho, chum, sockeye (currently closed) and the very odd spring trolling for them! They like red flashers and small red squirts (mini-red hootchies) on an 18" to 20" leader. They like a lot of flash so run 4 rods or extra flashers off the cannon balls. I fish JDF so I can't commment on SoG.
FYI: they have the lowest contaminant levels of all pacific salmon (alongside chum).

Out of the water then slow cooked on the barbi.......Don't care for em after being frozen.

I find that most anything PINK works just fine. Have an old Army n Navy pink wobbler coupled to a lightweight trout rod, rigged n ready as my favorite way to go. Just cut the engines and start casting.

Some like it rough...
Others just puke!.
