Picking the right pilchard plug and spoon options on the WCVI

So I normally fish on the inside but I’m hoping to get out on the WCVI either early July or sometime just before August. I’ve seen lots of folks talking about the Pilchard patterns and noted that they are a significant food source for outside fish. I don’t get many (if any) pilchards around my stopping grounds so I don’t have any gear to replicate them.
I know Tomic has made some great patterns on both spoons and plugs as well I hear the Iron Noggin Coyote or wonder spoon mod is a great option, some folks have mentioned using the Big Matrixx’s in blue and then jiffying them up. What I’m wondering is if I was only going to order say 3-4 spoons and 3-4 plug patterns from the Tomic line (or any other line of gear) which ones worked best for you guys and would you recommend?
I’m guessing with the Tomic plugs you’re fishing the 6-7” classic models – mostly the 7inchers?
Did you find the Tomic Kelly, the Mike or the Codfather most effective? Also I noted that they come with and without Mylar tape, did it make a difference one way or the other for you?

wonder bread with some custom black dots:D, 4.5 to 5.5 inches

Based on my lilmited experience, I don't think it matters if the fishing is hot. I'm no expert and I only fish out there 5-8 days per year, but last summer near the Starfish I changed lures after pretty well every fish one day in August. We didn't count the number of released fish, but caught fish on a #8 blue stripe wonder, #7 brass/chrome Clendon Stewart, brass matrix, brass Titan all doctored, Tomic Kelly spoon, tomic Watermelon spoon, Tomic white with pink blotches spoon, purple haze hootchie with an 8 inch homemade insert, a Herring teaser with a doctored glow herring baitrix, and my favourite 7" plug #50 with added spots.
I just bought a #8 Gibbs Wonder that is already a Pilchard from the store on Lonsdale in N. Van that should work too.

I think my picture and theirs are both off from reality a bit. It does have a blue back, green shoulder, and yellow side. I believe they are hand painted so each could be a bit different. Mine has more green than my pic shows.

Pilchard plug

Go to PNT and get RVP's Tomic Pilchard plug. Its a holographic/uv model.
Tested it last Sept and limited out before noon at 85'. Unfortunately the plug lost a battle with the fish bonker.
Worth picking a couple up for this season.
