Just wondering with the commercial opening tomorrow how much does this area get cleaned out by the commercial guys and how long does it take to come back?

I think it just slows down and the larger prawns go down in numbers as the commercial prawners use larger mesh, letting the smaller ones go. I know the locals continue prawning. Just soak overnight or all day instead of for 3 hrs.

Be careful. They drop right over all of the rec traps off of the ridge between Pat Bay and Deep Cove. If their line lands in-between your two pots they are not coming up with a Ace Puller. Last year we had three guys pulling on our “trapped” traps and they would not budge. We had to wait until the commercial guys reset somewhere else before we could get our sets back.
