Headed to Palau for some diving and good old anything but work.
Was wondering if anyone has ever been over there and done any fishing? Theres a few charters online but very few.
Planning on taking my fly rod, and trying for a bonefish or 2 but am hoping to do a charter or two as well.

A few of my friends have been over the years-one diver said there were so many fish it was like being on acid underwater (!)

Another that lived there for two years said just show up and start talking to villagers lotsa boats to go around although the motors on some are so big it's stupid seems different islands like to compete as to who has the biggest motor-not boat just motor.

If you don't take your own trolling gear you'll probably be using handlines if you go out with villagers-a good old fashioned wrestling match.

You'll do better with your casting gear if you learn how to tie wire so many toothy critters in the South Pacific.
