they do this year after year after year. DFO confiscates hundreds of these illegal hidde traps every year. If they really wanted to catch the perps they would have by now. Its analogous to a bank robber robbing the same bank year after year at the same time each year using the same tools. DFO knows who it is but does not do anything about it because they are the "untouchables". At least thats how they are treated. rather than do a stakeout and middle of night surveillance waiting to get the guys when they come back to pull up their bounty, DFO would rather confiscate these traps in the middle of the day knowing there wont be any confrontations. Its DFO using this opportunity to make themselves look good and for PR. The uneducated general public thinks DFO are heros protecting out waters from poachers. Yet, little do they know DFO would rather make illegitimate and irresponsible policies that prevent a son and father for fishing the past 2 summers and wont allow us to keep even 1 marked chinnook. Yet they let **** like this slide year after year.
