Ontario Angler Question

I am comming to Vancouver in a couple of weeks from Ontario and really want to wet a line. I was wondering if anyone could let me know of any specific rivers within an hour of Vancouver that I could go for some steelhead fishing (I know there a lot) but Ive never been over there.


I was thinking something smaller similar to the rivers here so I can Float fish soem roe bags or wet flies.


Any info would be useful (Public Access points, nearby town etc.)

I'd check out the Vedder river and FishBC.com - they mostly mainland oriented although a bunch of weirdos

What are the open season like there? Where would I find info on a day licence and regulations?

Is the vedder a pretty good river in February?

go into freds custom bait an tackle located in chillawack he is very close to the Vedder and will get you hooked up and then you dont have very far to go to the fishing hole the vedder is just getting under way should star picking up shortly
as for the vedder you are going to have 30 new friends as soon as your feet hit the bank
he can suggest some good palces to start fishing
