One The Best Days Of My Life!!!!

For those who do not know me personally I have been in the auto industry for 10+ years. The industry has treated my family and I pretty good including free trips, other perks and a better then average wage. Howevere over the last few years even after being promoted to a Sales Manager I was finding that it was no longer my true passion. I was constantly thinking about what kind of job I could do to make enough money to support my family yet be directly involved in my true passion/addiction to fishing/boating. Oh I also must add without moving away from the fantastic Comox Valley I have grown to love so much. I was starting to believe that mabye I was just asking for more then what reality could offer when an ad came out in the paper in Campbell River with quite a large company that had one of it's employee's retiring so I inquired about it and decided to apply. I went for my interview yesterday and it was like walking into my own personal dream world of everything I am so passionate about. So after a lengthy interview I was given a tour and was told they had interviewed someone else the day before qualified for the position and would be making a decision and to call back in three hours. Longest three hours of my life waiting to here if dreams really do come true. I cannot express in words the joy that came over me when the owner told me I got the job. Yes it is a sales and leasing position which I really enjoy doing. So heres where I start work Tuesday.

Real happy for you Kev, if you sell as good as you fish will be climbing this ladder in hurry! That's what dreams are all about , without them it would be a very boring life. Hope you will have time to find me a partner for the derby? I have radar, gps, on my C-Dory all I need is to christen that boat with any size hali!...

Right on man!! Awesome, deadly boats too. The media videos on that site are quite something(crazy).
CHEERS

C'ya on the water.

This is only the beginning, once you learnt the ropes, and starts to sell a few... That's when the real enjoyment begins... Monetary returns from commission sales and all!!!! Furthermore, depends on your company, you may get to go along with surveyors for sea trials...learning all about oversea shipments preparation having to build craddles and all.

From what I know, Aluminum Crafts are very popular with the Austrlians, so don't leave them out on you calling list...Other targets are fishing resorts, government groups, environmental groups etc. All these groups buy a fleet of boats, not one.. You boss will love you for what you know....

With since aluminum are very expensive to obtain in China, they just don't even bother to make boats out of aluminum, so your toughest competition is out, where all other industries are on a head on collison with China...President Bush's biggest headache!!!

Good Luck on your selling, you will find it alot more rewarding then selling cars... For a couple of reasons, the profit margin is not as slim and you won't be just selling one per dealing, go big .....

I hope you find this helpful...
