What is the proper way to get rid of old flares? Will be going through my safety stuff before putting boat in the water. Pretty sure my flares will need replaced. I just hung on to the old ones last time. should probably get rid of some.

Thanks Folks.

Ray-- I called the local RCMP office and asked if they would take them . They did. They told me the ERT would use them for training exercises

Took mine down to Esquimalt Fire and Police and wouldn't take them Said to expensive now to dispose of them.

I took my 15 year old expired ones which I believe makes them 20 years old into the Courtenay RCMP and it wasn't an issue. I was just tired of them sitting in my shop. I am not required to carry them so often I just have old ones in my emergancy kit which seems to have disappeared.

Grab three of your, not so good friends, and each stand at a corner of the fire and play Russian Rocket Roulette.

Hang onto them for now and take them with you on July 4th weekend to your favourite American campsite. You'll fit right in with the crowd.
