A friend gave me Magda pro line counter reel, never used. Looks good, anyone used one? Are they ok?

I used to sell Okuma, they are junk for the most part.[V]
Poorly constructed of the cheapest parts I suppose a polite way to put it is under engineered.
The price is right though so use it to death, which should be about one season.
What you don't want to do is put any money into the thing fixing this and that.
Save your money for decent Shimano or even Daiwa reels.
