Anyone a fan of the Oki Titans Spoons?

I have fished the 4's extensively and they don't produce as well as they should. I wouldn't put them down again.

I have fished the 5's and done well....they're a heavy built spoon requiring fast...all the time and select larger fish.

I haven't fished the 5.5...but recently got a box of them given to me in the traditional good colours. They're heavy and look to withstand a bomb going off... Anyone fish these?

The Oki 6's do well when the slabs are moving through offshore.

Check out their webpage...

Good products but haven't used them in a while IIRC there was an issue with the paint coming off far too easily-has that changed?

Well, I failed on the thread posting. it should be in the General forum not the reports thread.

Never had any issues with the paint coming off.

Ive used their larger spoons in the blue/green and yellow/green mist..... Great spoons on the west coast but dont expect the stickers on the spoons to last a lifetime.

Yeah, the Size 5 like a brisk troll and they have a razor sharp Eagle Claw point hook on them. The paint and coatings on them is of excellent quality. I have caught fish on them but like I say, you do have to be moving quick. I think a lighter hook may work better to allow great variability of speed.

Island Outfitters used to go off about them frequently in their reports but not so much anymore which raises a few questions in my mind. Us recreational fishers and guides always tend to gravitate towards the lighter tackle because we have a different set of needs than a commercial troller....commercial trolling with a 3.5 to 4.0 Irish Cream wouldn't work...lol....and light duty tackle just plain works.

These 5.5" ones look just as good and I'd like to see what a Commercial Troller would have to say about them In Terms of productivity. They look like they would be good for 15-25 pounders.

These 5.5" look good.

They are ok but i'll take the superiors and Nog's over them everyday.

Spoon to spoon they all seem to fish the same the difference I see from one to the next is the hooks. Coyote spoons have the poorest hooks now, recent Gibbs have a nice stainless hook and swivel. Not sure about the others listed I'm kind of a Gibbs fan, some of the old school spoons have brought the lines to life when everything else isn't working. Troll speed may vary spoon to spoon for action maybe that's the difference for some. Haven't tried Nogs but have heard good things maybe this year will give them a go.
