Okanagan chinook

The hatchery in Pentixton was built and funded for sockeye, but the Okanagan Nation are running a side project to rear chinook there as well. Some of those fry have been released into Okanagan Lake tributaries since 2020. Here's the first of the returners:

They're also rearing sturgeon fingerlings for release into the upper Columbia around Trail. With plenty of sockeye broodstock available this fall, that hatchery will be full to capacity.

Presume it’s tagged to track where it goes? Guesses? Mission? Super cool! Hope more show up.
The penticton hatchery uses thermal otolith marking, so they'll get all the information when collecting broodstock or other field sampling.

I know sockeye fry are released into three creeks that drain to Okanagan: Mission, Deep, Whiteman. Not sure if chinook fry are handled the same.
