October fly fish

I am presently staying in Comox and was wondering about fly fishing in early October stream or beach. Just looking for a quick over view of fishing, say from CR to Port Alberni and points between. Many thanks ....

things should be starting to heat up... check out nile creek website. fishing the beaches can be really day to day and the best is just to go down there look for signs of fish... if none... move to the next beach. most of the beach guys are pretty tight lipped about there spots.

Oct will see the Puntledge open for chums and possibly chinooks. Unlikely for coho. Kingfisher beach, little River, Nile, Oyster/ Black Creek are all good if you can hit it right. Lots of time will be needed just walking and looking

How about the Stamp and Somass at this time of the year... apparently there is an access by a laneway called Anglers Trail?
