Picked up a nice chunky red spring about 15lbs tonite on the flats.
fastest hit i've ever experienced, i dropped one set of gear to the
bottom, and went to set up the other.
happened to look back, and the first rod was off.
thought the clip was set too loose, but..
fish on !
must have dropped it right in front of it's nose ?

Luck suits the prepared. Now if we just get them to that a bit more often sure would save a lot of wear and tear on the trolling motor.
