Wondering if anyone's been up to any of the systems north of Campbell River lately? I've heard that the Gold has been slow with all the snow, anyone been up to the Salmon or Nimpkish systems? Thinking of going on one last epic steelhead adventure to end the winter season...[8D]

Just back in from gold river,Snowing like a bugger the whole time i was there,Wasnt fishing but the river looked very low.

Just look in the right place. The new closure starts today. No April Fools. Campground up basically.

New closure? Is that above the Lions Campground?

This is the second year of the closure. You have the run above the Lions Campground down is open. From there up is closed.

Anyone been up to the Salmon lately? I'm thinking of going up Saturday to try out my new 11' bait-caster setup.

Went to the salmon today. Water was low but I found some action.

Fought two large steelhead and managed to land my first ever, a 10-12 lb wild buck.
