So BIGMEL and I keep talking about doing a trip to Nootka . In the past I have stayed at Critter , but we would like to camp . I have been to the campsite a Cougar Creek and would like to stay there . How do I go about getting a site reserved ? or is it first come first serve ?

Or any other sugestions would be great

any good or bad experiences at cougar ?

We would be towing a 17 ft trailor and a 17 ft boat

thanks

there's www.tutamarina.com. Hosts are nice people, but the campground is a bit rough. We have boated in, in the past while friends have driven. I would recommend boating in - road is sketchy, especially with a boat. For what it is worth, we thought we may try cougar next time or moutcha bay.

Spots were easy to get this past July, very quite compared to other years. The parking lot across the street wasn't anywhere near full and there were only a few boats rafted. (doubles) Always a spot available to pick up and drop off. Most of the lodges were off 50% so the drop in boat traffic was noticeable. Even the parking down at the GR ramp was light.
