newbie needs advice

I'm just moving to Sooke and want to try sea fishing (beachcasting for the first time). Can anyone give me some advise on what rods, reels and lures they recommend to hopefully be sucessful in fising for Salmon.

A good spinning outfit would be necesary, i would go with a good 20 pound line, and i like using buzzbombs. those would be a great start. if you want specifics like places and mroe gear PM me and i will help you out!
