Lived in good ol' Saskatoon for quite a spell myself, and married a gal from out Middle Lake way.
Been on The Rock since I (semi) retired from being a biologist. Told The Missuz we'd be here but a couple of years, then wandering back North Of Sixty. Damn Steelhead... LOL! Now it looks like we will NEVER leave - working on the second decade here now... :D

Welcome perchman. My Dad's side of the family all hail from Sask. Yes there is lot's of freshwater fishing on the Island. You'll love it here.

what fish are stocked in them is it mainly trout.
 
Perchie, check out the GoFish BC (just Google it) website, you will find all stocking information on lakes as well as tips on how to fish them. Also a program for mentors and tons of other stuff.
