Hey Guys,

Planning a trip up way North of way I normally fish. Heading to the Port Hardy / Bull harbour / Rivers Inlet area. Was wondering if somebody could possible give me some pointers on where to go for halibut / ling cod / salmon (kings and silvers). Any info helps, my dad, myself and a buddy are heading up there to fish next week. We have a 26' foot Grady ready to fish.

Any info would be awesome, we have been to rivers inlet before- it was a good while ago. And have fished the Port McNeal area several times, just not quite as north as the northern tip of VC Island.

Fish on, and thank you guys.

This site rocks

Check out the salmon university site. I think they have some spots marked. Also there is a salmon fishing and halibut fishing Vancouver island book with GPS coordinates. Helped me out quite a bit for my first few trips.

at bull hbr backside of hope island and around towards secretary point is a good spot to try! fish near bottom and kings and halibut should be biting! also around Mexicana point is a good spot to try.

very good fishing at duval point right now for coho and spring salmon! no problem to get a fish or two any time of day; first week of august is usualy a very good time for fishing at port hardy!
